Dr. Mustafa Mashal obtained his Doctorate, Masters, and bachelor’s in Civil Engineering with a focus on Structural Engineering from the University of Canterbury in New Zealand, the State University of New York at Buffalo in the United States, and Kabul University in Afghanistan, respectively. Dr. Mashal is a Fellow of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Structural Engineering Institute and CAES.

He is a registered Professional Engineer (PE) in Idaho, a Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng), and International Professional Engineer (IntPE) in New Zealand. He has more than 13 years of consulting and academic experience in the United States, New Zealand, Qatar, and Afghanistan. He has been the recipient of many prestigious awards and recognitions such as the “2020 Alfred Noble Prize” from ASCE, the 2018 ASCE Southern Idaho Section “Outstanding Civil Engineer of the Year Award”, the University of Canterbury’s Visiting Erskine Fellowship, and is a two times Fulbright grantee.

Dr. Mashal has been part of over 150 scientific publications and hold two patents. He has served on multiple national standards committees in the United States, including ASCE 7 & 41 and PCI Bridges & Industry Handbook committees. He is also the Committee Research Coordinator for the Transportation Research Board’s Standing Committee on Seismic Design and Performance of Bridges. His consulting interests include, but not limited to analysis and design of buildings and bridges, project management, retrofitting and strengthening of infrastructure, precast concrete structures, steel structures, and the use of advanced materials in civil engineering.

Eng. Ahmad Zaied is a highly accomplished professional with a strong background in civil and environmental engineering. He holds degree in Mechanical Engineering from the College of Technological Studies in Kuwait, and he pursued his studies in Civil Engineering at Idaho State University in the United States.

With over a decade of experience in the field, Ahmad Zaied has become a recognized expert in road and bridge engineering, with a specific focus on projects in Kuwait. His work has contributed significantly to the development and maintenance of critical infrastructure, making transportation safer and more efficient for communities.

During his tenure at the Department of Environmental Quality in the United States, Ahmad served as a Water Quality Engineer and Inspector. In this capacity, he demonstrated a strong commitment to environmental sustainability by analyzing wastewater treatment processes and ensuring strict compliance with environmental regulations.
